Archaeology You Can Touch

From July 3rd to 9th, 2028, a Europe-wide extraordinary project will take shape in Menzlin near Anklam: the experimental reconstruction of an early medieval stone ship setting.

Menzlin Altes Lager Plan

The Scientific Experiment

This is not a museum piece, but a scientifically monitored experiment. The goal is to research historical construction methods, tools, and workflows.

Early Medieval Craftsmanship

Experience an authentic settlement featuring forges, woodworking, and textile crafts. History not behind glass, but right in the middle of the action.

Battlefield-
Archaeology

Experienced reenactors demonstrate equipment, tactics, and combat techniques. Learn what traces conflicts leave behind in the soil.
